According to a report from pymnts, Ford is collaborating with Google in a six a project to make innovation in automobile sector with mobile technology. “As ford is already named for modernization by being great in connectivity, electrification and self-driving, by joining with Google we are looking forward to provide high-caliber experience for our clients and advance our business” said by ford’s President Jim Farley.
As a first step of this project, this plan will executed for the ford & Lincoln customers. Lincoln is the luxurious vehicle sector of Ford which is acquired by Ford in 1920. Officials says that, by 2023 Lincoln and Ford vehicles will be equipped with build-In Google apps & services powered by android operating system.
Google & Alphabet’s CEO Sundar Pichai confirmed that Google will assist Ford in modernizing Ford’s business with utilizing data analytics, AI and Machine learning technologies. He also added that Ford will acquire Google best data analytics, Artificial Intelligence and cloud platform which highly concerns the safety of drivers.
The in-car Android operating system will also give Ford and third-party developers the ability to develop apps that provide a personalized car ownership experience.
Moreover, this in-car android OS will also allow ford and even third-party developers to build applications that offers an advanced car experience to the users.
